ISARG is a research group primarily focused on EEG signal analysis of epileptic patients. A synergy of technically educated researchers from Czech Technical University in Prague and medical doctors from Charles University in Prague improve the possibility of brain activity analysis for clinical studies as well as clinical praxes. The EEG evaluation by neurologists is subjectively influenced. The signal is evaluated visually, where only simple filtrations are used. Advanced techniques of signal analyses provides a mining of additional information in EEG, which could be really valuable for seizure onset zone localization for patients with complicate diagnosis. The patients indicted for epileptosurgery give the researchers unique iEEG data useful for study of seizure genesis, spreading and its character. The aim of the project is the improvement of diagnostic possibilities of invasive EEG monitoring and better understanding the process of seizure genesis.
